btw since i get this question a lot: buying on itch means we get almost 150% as much money from your purchase compared to buying on steam

Very excited to officially kickstart our @Bonfire@bonfire.cafe server at Warwick and to be able to codesign it with fellow researchers!
I have introduced Mastodon to few friends in China before but none of them stick around. Now with the beautiful redesign of the Mastodon web app, I should really convince them to try again.
I post cat pics for bites. Thank you so much!

@evan I'm not sure what you mean. Lamport doesn't use the term "unit of change" and send-receive are events that don't seem to be that. Lamport defines the clock as a function over events. I had been thinking generating, modifying, sending and receiving Activities were the events related to the FEP, but it seems like you had something different in mind. I'll wait to see how the proposal evolves before commenting further.
@Steve_Bate I mean that in the Lamport model, change in the system happens on message send or receive. I think we could do that in ActivityPub, probably using headers rather than properties of objects, since we don't usually reify a single delivery between servers. But I think the more interesting state-change mechanism is through activities. So, it's not an exact application of Lamport clocks. This is called out multiple times in the FEP.
Why 4 in particular? Why not 1, or 5, or 10, or 204? (Instagram DMs)
wikipedia app lagged just because i had 99 tabs open. lawsuit. suing.
Thanks! (snac is still great software by the way, thanks for developing it)
Does anyone know of any Fedi software which *can* federate over TOR/I2P *and* the clearweb, for resilience in the face of internet crackdowns?

Can't wait for Wafrn to bake a cake!
I made the mistake of pinning a column and then again, and now I cannot remove them and have three columns with the same content.
@mauricerenck As a member of the team, may I ask what happens when you try to remove the column? Or are you unable to find how to do it?

Vote for Sonic The Hedgehog for WAFRN presidential elections.
Blacksky has released a system for polls and wafrn will implement it
