On politics. Most of my focus every day is political, more or less; and am glad to connect with folks offline. I do not do a lot of political posting on social media principally for my mental health. As a Jew, I do post in opposition to Israel's ongoing genocide against Palestinians.

Fulltime freelance provider of outreach and enhancement in maths ... I talk a lot. About maths.

I talk about other stuff too, like ballroom dancing, juggling, unicycling, education, engineering, software, and "other things".

But mostly about maths.

I tend to follow back, but only if you have something in your profile.

I am a science fiction writer and computer programmer.
Latest novel: MORPHOTROPHIC.
Latest collection: SLEEP AND THE SOUL.

Dipping a toe. I have some understanding of the most elementary fluid dynamics and thermodynamics, some practical physics and organic chemistry. I'd like to do a little passive learning if I can, with a view to learning programming later in life. We all see the same truth through a different paradigm, but sometimes math helps us better see and understand and convey the same thing. What a lovely backbone upon which to build a body of communication and thought. I treasure this server.

I teach maths and computing at university in the UK — including modelling, combinatorics, game theory, history, programming — and research university-level mathematics education practice. And I play maths with my son.

Editor, The Mathematical Gazette. Involved @aperiodical blog, Mathematical Objects podcast, and do various other things.

Please say something to me before following me! I'll have to carefully scrutinise your follow request if we haven't exchanged any words, but I'll probably approve it right away if you at least say hi. It's more work for me if you request a follow without any previous interaction.

I'm married; no flirting please.
