I managed to get everything off my plate today except for setting up meilisearch. Honestly, I might just do the wise thing and go to bed, and wait until someone can tell me about how to get it working.

Welcome to Fedizen! The instance is up and running now, and I'll be working on getting the final piece, Meilisearch, integrated with the rest of the service.

Our first major task actually sounds a little trivial, but it's really important: sourcing data. More specifically, we're looking for ActivityPub actors from publications, podcasts, PeerTube channels, event platforms, and more! Our goal is to provide a little something for everyone. Once the data is in place, we'll be able to experiment with aggregating activities into different feeds, which will become a core part of our Portal UI.

If you know of anyone writing, talking, podcasting, or sharing knowledge about the Fediverse that you think is worth promoting, let us know!

I'm honestly really excited to be doing this. I'm a little nervous that people will look at this and say "FEDIVERSE YAHOO!? IS THAT THE BEST YOU CAN COME UP WITH?! YOU ABSOLUTE HACK!'

But I think the vision is good, and that this could end up being great.
