Recommendations sought: I'm looking to host a small mailing list (think 20-40 people) with a minimum of stress. What software and/or services are available to me?

The ideal solution would be self-hostable FOSS on Linux without needing direct access to the mail server (i.e. it can go through remote SMTP+POP/IMAP services) and be easy to deploy and maintain.

(A sufficiently robust web forum might also work.)

Any ideas? Boosts are appreciated.

@suetanvil For that few people, probably the easiest thing is to just keep all their email addresses in a text file and paste it into the To: field by hand when you send an email

Why are the folks subscribed to that email list subscribed?

I'm sure this is where you are anyway, but in my experience it's always helpful to start by thinking about the people first, and the technology second.
