Whatever Trump’s psychosis is — supremacy, narcissism, sociopathy, all these and more, who knows, the armchair diagnosis is endless — one of the key features of the psychosis is a compulsion to •prove• untouchability: “You can’t make me, you can’t touch me, I’m never wrong, it’s never my fault.”
Doubling down? Yes, times 100: his response to being put on his heels is to set everything on fire in mindless defiance — not just outright •self• destruction, but destroying •everything in sight• — because the most important thing in the world is that he can never, ever experience consequences for anything. I think he’ll sacrifice his political standing and even his power and wealth before he sacrifices his ego.
That makes him extremely weak and extremely dangerous. Both.
