I know the user for a touchscreen laptop, it's my wife, who had an HP Envy with touch screen running Windows 10 and found that on particularly unwell days, clicking by touch was just fine.
her current is a non-touch HP Elitebook (also Win10) and I asked and she would quite like a touchscreen laptop again. hardest part would be finding one that does Win10 and doesn't require Win11 if you have specific cause to run Windows.
so don't say there's no use case for a touchscreen laptop. instead, say the current ones are shit.
EDIT: linux advocates who are about to essay "why don't you just" should just fuck off right now
@davidgerard
I had a touchscreen laptop for work where I could fold the keyboard all the way back to make it a tablet.
I got really pissed off that I couldn't configure it to only accept touch input when in tablet mode because I kept knocking the screen with my knuckles when typing and sending the cursor.in weird places.
I hope your wife finds one with an extremely easy to toggle touch screen to turn it off and on exactly when desired.
