@EugestShirley @ai6yr one time i was departing my local field in the UK and a business jet was ahead of me. i was off to the side on the taxiway, but the runway butted right up against the road. some guy in a land rover pulled over to watch the jet takeoff. pilot of that jet noticed thankfully and said to ATC “better ask that guy to move to if wants to keep the paint on his car”.
a 10 minute wait followed as airport ops had to head out there to move him on. jet blast man.

Yes. I enjoy watching planes, but I can't imagine donning a swimsuit to viiew landings at SXM on St. Maarten.
