The uber-classic 70s-era TV series "Columbo" starring Peter Falk is currently free on #YouTube Movies & TV. YouTube frequently brings various content into free status from paid, but reversion to paid can happen at any time and sometimes the free periods are quite short. This is the first seven seasons -- the original run -- which by far contains the most classic episodes. There is always confusion about the pilots and first episodes. The original pilot, "Prescription: Murder" aired in 1968 and features a not fully developed Columbo character -- there are noticeable differences in Falk's portrayal from what we'd learn to love when the series proper got running. The second pilot "Ransom for a Dead Man" is sometimes catalogued as S1E1 or S1E0, but is not included in the current YT episode list. Instead, S1E1 is "Murder by the Book", which was directed by a little known Universal staff director named Steven Spielberg. Oh, just one more thing!
