The city of Antwerp is releasing the motorhome belonging to Palestinian activist Omar Almaani (37). He will get his vehicle back as soon as he has paid the towing and administrative costs. However, he must leave Antwerp immediately. The city regards his drive through the Jewish quarter last week as a political demonstration, for which Almaani must apply for a permit in future. On Wednesday evening it emerged that an investigation is still underway into a sword and possible references to Hamas, an organisation on the EU terrorist list.
