1. I think this was Labour's to lose.
2. Vote splitting worked in Nats favour. I wonder how much of that is shitweasel Mowbray's illegal campaign.
3. In Mt Albert, Opportunity seems to have mostly taken votes from Nats which ensured the Labour candidate victory.
4. National now has a bunch of unknowns which will likely make it even more biddable by fringe ACT and NZFirst.
5. How embarassing. Even the USA could get it together but NZ sharted out this idiotic result
6. Money must be removed from politics and the best way to do that is by removing it from excessively wealthy people.
7. Greens need to go after the rural vote. Farmers should be all about the environment.

@benchaotica 11 or change the electorate seats over to stv - a system that is much better thanks fpp at picking the preferred candidate from a wide list of parties and people
@JamesH Yes, definitely agree on STV for electorate votes!
8. Hipkins will likely think the CGT was the reason they lost, despite Opportunity's entry into parliament with a wealth tax policy.
9. It is small comfort, and a conflicted one, that many of the people who will die in under- resourced Emergency Departments will be people who voted for it.
10. Despite being a mess, Te Pāti Māori did what it planned to do and it was a good MMP strategy.
11. Maybe we should get rid of electorate seats. They are an FPP remnant.
12. Specials could swing one electorate in our favour (Nats lead Wairarapa by 139), but it seems unlikely they will swing two or more (Nats lead Hamilton East by 456, Whangārei and Nelson by 1000+) so this is basically the result.
