When the New York Times has three prominent articles everyday about how Chuck Schumer is the inevitable next Majority Leader, the one thing you know for sure is that Chuck Schumer is NOT the inevitable next Majority Leader.
@arrrg @mastodonmigration GenX’er here (1980) and a lot of peers do not want Jeffries, nor Schumer. It’s time to stop being “nice” and practicing “decorum”. People voted like this for change. I hope they don’t squander the power that we gave them.
@mastodonmigration i also appreciate how this time they had to go to a senior center in a tiny town at the very edge of texas to find people who are upset about the election; i guess no one was going to buy the diner on main street story this time
@mastodonmigration they are trying to do a sith mind trick on us.
The NYT? For several years now. I wonder who has young Sulzberger’s balls in a vise. His family predecessors weren’t like that.
@mastodonmigration A good selection of articles to absorb bird turds in the bottom of a cage.
@mastodonmigration Schumer thinks he is. He thinks he's got the seniority and the support from his caucus in the Senate. And maybe he does, but Chuck might be mis-underestimating the situation.
Unlike people of my age (aka gen x) the younger people are done fucking around. They want change and they want it now, not after 40 years of incrementalism.
