I wonder if the quality of Trekz/Aftershokz bone-conductive headphones is decreasing?
I've used them for ages, as has Sandra, and we have had multiple pairs.
The charging port on Sandra's last pair just feel apart. So we replaced them.
Now, something has happened to the lefthand bud of mine, so that it rattles.
I definitely use them a lot - every day - but it is still annoying.
@bencurthoys If you've got some, would you recommend them? Might you share the brand / model, please?

They aren't as good as aftershokz. The sound quality is worse, so if you want to listen to audiophile music then probably spend the money. But for listening to podcasts whilst I walk/run with the dog they are fine.
The model i bought is now unavailable according to Amazon but there are many many more at the same price point.

@neil I went through about 3 pairs in 2 years and then that last pair survived 6. Will see how long this pair lasts
@neil I use mine for sleeping and they last me about three years. The issue vary but I have seen both of the things you mentioned on recent (USB-C) models in this household.
@neil mine lasted about a year before breaking. Nothing but static. Then the rubbery material became sticky.
@neil I've had lots of pairs, have had varying experiences with them some were good quality and lasted, two pairs were crap. Perhaps they have different production lines, or sometimes "Friday afternoon" builds.... Like British Leyland. 🤣
@neil the quality of the cheap versions is definitely improving...
