That's a warmup.
"Asked" (past tense) in Irish is "d'fhiafraigh," pronounced, "jiffrey."
@darth_hideout @Pineywoozle @kibcol1049 Anyone know of a simple guide to Irish alphabet and pronunciation? When I lived in Wales I learned the Welsh alphabet and could then make a decent attempt at most words. Is that possible with Irish?

Just poking around for "Irish pronunciation guide" turns up a lot. This looks reasonable, but there are many.

@darth_hideout @pthane @kibcol1049 that’s funny before I saw this. I was actually going to go look up an Irish alphabetical pronunciation guide.
@kibcol1049 Caoimhe has entered the room, not a single one pronounced as it’s spelled and yet, still not as useless as a Republican in Congress in January. 🤣🤣🤣
(When I typed in “Irish names that aren’t… and Google imediately populated “pronounced as they’re spelled I laughed so loud I startled the cat. 😜)
