I bought a new watch. Ordered this #Pebble Sunday night, arrived Wednesday, despite expecting weeks or months shipping to the USA. I changed the delightfully aesthetic watch face to one that is data intensive, even showing seconds, and battery life is still nearly full. My super expensive proprietary watch battery would be begging for the charger right now. Very practical screen shows everything I need at a glance and where I am at with my current fitness goals of the day.
Highly recommend tossing the proprietary data leaking watches and owning your own free software and hardware watch, at least for controlling privacy and security.
The hardware is impressive and Doom has been totally ported to this. You need A Pebble watch.
This open source open hardware watch is a game changer. I have already updated the watch face display with current information I use to stamp legal documents all day and reduce risk of errors. All the annoyances of the expensive proprietary watch are gone, especially the telemetry that I could not turn off. This watch lets me fully control my attack surface to my threat model, but I will need to verify and test as always.
