Does anyone know anything about the US #Army 502nd Admin Company?
The signatures are all dated between 1965 and 1967.
We found it while helping a friend clear out her uncle's house. He would have been 86 this year.
Is there somewhere this should go to? Maybe a museum?
@douglasvb I've been able to find a couple online references to there having been a 502nd Admin Company in the 2nd Armored, but nothing definitive yet.
There is a veterans' association for the 2nd Armored, though. You might try contacting them, they might be interested, or able to put you in touch with the appropriate Army museum for an artifact like this.
@douglasvb Apparently their weapon involves typewriters? LOL.
@ai6yr someone has to do the paperwork!
@douglasvb If you believe the TV shows and movies, that's what the Army mostly involves, lol.
@ai6yr based on my experiences in other parts of the defense world, paperwork wins wars even more than logistics.
@douglasvb The insignia on the bulldog’s uniform is from the 2nd Armored Division, “Hell On Wheels.” I would guess the 502nd was in there somewhere. But we can’t ask them directly, the 2nd Armored was stood down in 1995.
