@permacomputer Hell yeah.
You wanna gimmie a rundown?
@ajroach42 the idea is to distribute code printed / copied onto paper.
paper archives longer than any other medium.
the code also has to be simple and easy to understand.
these machines will come with a BASIC interpreter, and will have 64KB of RAM -- they're gonna be based on the RP2040, and will be running the Arduino core.
lots of links are probably necessary at this point.
this is the BASIC:
What's setting you on fire?
@ajroach42 I discovered, even in my tiny apartment, I could build a compact, mobile, electronics lab with spare plywood and a few casters
It's pretty sweet, if I do say so myself
@cypnk Oh neat! What does that entail?
@ajroach42 https://awslabs.github.io/palace/stable/ THIS IS LIKE THE MOST ANARCHIST SHIT EVER AND IT'S LITERALLY AMAZON
@dirtwizard666 I don't think I know enough about engineering to understand what I'm looking at, but your enthusiasm is infectious.
@ajroach42 Usually the sun, But I got better.
What TV shows or Movies or Youtube channels or whatever have you been enjoying recently?
@ajroach42 Almost everything I watch lately is Twitch streaming, either
YerOlDad: old TV game shows (Match Game 75 lately)
MidnightSumo, QueenBee: Sumo content
Moohodles: Science comm, videogames
RobotSpacer: Mystery videogames
And some old X-Files, Rick & Morty, Galaxy Express or Captain Harlock for comfort watching. I'll put some Sentai on when I run out of those.
I haven't liked a lot of new shows since 2010-ish at most.
@mdhughes Which sentai show are you most likely to reach for these days?
I'm almost done with Gorenger and I have to decide if I'm going to pick up another sentai show or if I'm going to finish Supaidaman.
@ajroach42 I love that Toei just licensed Spider-Man & made whatever they wanted. Giant jaguar robot, sure why not? But it just reminds me how annoying I find Peter Parker.
@mdhughes it's the best spiderman

@ajroach42 just rewatching the 'animes made by a literal cult' series from Mother's Basement.
@ajroach42 The Expanse is atrocious. Carrie is actually pretty good even though I'm not the target demo. Most new stuff kind of sucks.
Have you seen a movie that didn't get a theatrical release recently?
or really any movie you wanna talk about that didn't involve Lance Oppenheim?
