Daedelus's "Labyrinths" (October 2016) is a great introduction to the electronic beatmaker's sense of humor and sound.
Digging way back, The Breeders' "Last Splash" turned 30 in 2023. Recorded here in SF, I've been hearing this album everywhere lately, and this special edition is a great way to enjoy it.

"The Thicket" (September 1998) is David Grubbs's first solo album after the breakup of Gastr del Sol. This is still my favorite of Grubbs's solo albums, and I really like how it brings a pop sensibility to the experimental sounds he was known for.
Shane Parish's "Undertaker Please Drive Slow" (November 2016) is an album of beautiful and haunting guitar instrumentals. I first found Shane through his acoustic covers of Autechre songs, but now I'm really enjoying ing the stripped-down and improvisational sounds on Undertaker.
