Help @FourT4 solve a mystery!
Q4. What on earth did I hit in the dark? Horrible noise. Both wheels' rims "slashed" on both sides, at intervals all around the circumference, and white powdery marks on the tyres. No punctures or other damage.

@ascentale @FourT4 @bikenite i like the suggestion from replies to your original post that you hit a pothole or something but dang it would have to be narrow to mark up both sides and if it was one you're lucky it didn't grab the wheel and throw you down

omg that is so bad! O.o that''s scarier than the invisible pothole I reported after I ran into an older man who'd just been knocked down by it. (how invisible it was was kind of amazing, I took photos to show how you _absolutely_ could not see it coming from the north and it was the fastest repair I'd ever seen.)
let's hope they get that one taken care of quick because that is literally a deathtrap for wheels
