Another question for fedi: what audio interfaces or mixers are controllable directly from alsamixer or similar on Linux?
I know the Scarlet Focusrites can be. I'm particularly curious about the Bitwig 4/12 and Arturia AudioFuse Studio Rev2, but any other suggestions for stuff that I don't have to use their proprietary software for (even if it supports Linux) would be great.
*EDIT:* alternatively, where *all* features are accessible with physical controls and which includes at least basic mixing even if it's not intended to be used as a mixer.
@sam In my experience, very few. I'd suggest looking for audio interfaces that have all their features controllable from the hardware without needing some bespoke application.
