Hi Mastodon! 👋 #introduction
I’m Edgar, and I built Terra Tempora: a free globe where you can scroll through history and watch borders, empires and events change over time.
Pick a country, press play and travel through the centuries, or search for a battle or treaty.
It’s open source, with no ads and no tracking, and it’s available in English, French and Spanish.

Feedback and missing events are very welcome!
@Gargron Good question, the data are not generated by the AI, expect for few specific changes mentioned in the source. Most of these borders are coming from Cliopatria, some from Wikipedia.
@terratempora that's absolutely incredible. Thank you for creating and sharing!
@ozoned0 😍 thanks, really appreciated!
@terratempora I just gave my children a very brief history into modern day. We were all entranced. Such amazing work! Do you have a donation page?
@ozoned0 wow that's so cool that you were able to activate it so fast! My kids love it as well 😉 And yes there is a Support link at the top (or in the burger menu) if you want to donate. Thanks so much for your support.
@terratempora How can you guarantee any of the data displayed is accurate and not hallucinated?
