If you look at the index over the last few days it does indeed show a modest fall, but if you look at the year to date it's up.
Exactly... they steal public and copyrigthed information without giving a penny back and think they can sell it back to the world without any discussion on the disruptive influence of their SW solutions. Claw back indeed. Rules, regluations and taxes so they finally give something back to society.

These models don't belong to them, since they were made from stolen data. Instead, these models should be treated like public property, freely downloadable and usable by anyone with the right hardware.
And if these stupid companies claim that it's theirs because of the energy they wasted making them, then maybe they should've thought that risk factor through BEFORE using illegally obtained data to make them.

It was encountering reality. With the midterms, there's much less muddy water on the topic.

So many of IT pros/freelance journalists/artists who worked for various apps &websites have lost their jobs over the past 2/3 years to this AI bullshit. And how did these companies train their AI? They trained it on the exact data these creators produced only to fire them afterward.
