Am I utterly losing my mind and all ability to use the internet, or is this in fact an amazing long form article style post about an anti AI commercial which apparently does not link to the ad they analyze??

EDIT: allegedly the ad is embedded somehow in the article but it doesn't show up in a variety of browsers or something.

Again, maybe I am too old or just too tired tonight. But I have read through this MASSIVE post multiple times and nowhere in it can I simply click to view the ad as far as I can tell.

@deviantollam Honestly, my brain wouldn’t waste any time to throw this ad into the garbage collector, if this would present here in Europe.
It is exactly the marketing “Blah Blah” I’m immunized for and AI will not change anything. Maybe I’m to European, not trained to watch stupid ads?
First rule – Never believe anything you see or hear in an ad! Every ad includes a bent representation, if not a plain lie.

@deviantollam must be your ad blocker misbehaving, it loads fine for me (i use uBlock Origin)

"I have been thinking a lot about this 30 second advertisement release by Microsoft, because more than anything I've seen it summarises what generative AI is actually for.

First, please go watch the full thirty seconds if you haven't already:"

@deviantollam It's that creepy Microsoft ad where a petty guy named Kyle feels outdone by a coworker (of color) and uses AI to get even. It's been going around fediverse lately. Search for 'competitive Kyle'

@deviantollam the ad is embedded rather than linked. You got an extension that blocks it?

@deviantollam it feels like there's a push to deprecate the idea of a normal-ass hyperlink
