@CStamp It's not making news in the US, in general, I suspect. Very few of these disasters have been. Only regional news coverage. There was a catastrophic flood in Florida on Monday, no coverage in Los Angeles.
@ai6yr Good think the GQP lead government poured $$$$$ into FEMA and made sure they have sane, competent leadership
@ai6yr wonder whether Trump withholds aid from even Red states after election

@ai6yr oh, this is the second 100 year storm to hit that area in 3 months. And they have cut back all the trees near the highway for a future expansion, so the storm drains immediately fill with mud
@ai6yr river was 18 ft above normal, and got there quickly. I know.people that had to leave their home by boat
Looks like, at the very least, a complete remodel of every single first story of every single building in Copperhill, TN. Looks like the entire town turned into a lake.
Wow, that is DEEP. And those videos show it flowing. About at the 7 ft-8 ft mark based on the size of the SUV and the location of the sign.

@ai6yr the whole area was under water in August, too - McCaysville GA on the other side of the river just got their police office back opened last week from that flood cleanup! https://apnews.com/article/mccaysville-fannin-flooding-rescue-evacuations-6e0a283ff54238cba9677602f5e0878e
This town's businesses are most certainly completely wiped out and must start from scratch. Hope they are insured.

Damn I hate seeing these things.
@czarbucks Yeah, sorry, probably bad memories of your own town's encounter with this.
Yeah, no, I didn't mean for you not to, it's just always tough to see others going through this.
@ai6yr I still have not seen any comment from your president on this. Is it just not making news outside US?
