Macro photo of a bizarre red insect in low side view, standing on a light green plant against a blurred forest background. The insect has strikingly marked translucent orange and black wings, a long snout, and a curved tail like a scorpion's.

Macro photograph of a similar insect, but this one is a female that lacks the scorpion tale.
