@FediTips
But now I’m no longer receiving any push notifications from the Mastodon app itself. What other settings do I need to change?
@FediTips
I’ve granted permission again today. I’ve been receiving push notifications for months.
You have to adjust the app notifications from the app, but the email notifications from the website. They shouldn't have any effect on each other.
Is your app set to send notifications within the app itself? You need to give it permission in the OS, and also tell it to send notifications within the app.
@FediTips
Hello! Have these push notifications been disabled, or is this to do with Android 17? But I don’t need to receive messages twice either. I don’t want to receive them as an extra email.
The email notifications are nothing to do with the app push notifications, they work through totally different systems and generally notify about different things.
@FediTips
But what can I do to get push notifications? I asked the admit, but did not get an answer yet.
@FediTips
I do get notifications, but no push notifications with a sound.
@Katerclochard
An app's push notifications are usually controlled from within the app itself, and whether you have given it permission to send you notifications in your phone's operating system.
If you go to your app's "Settings" section and then go to its "Notifications" sub-section that should let you adjust settings?
