Some nutcase is yelling at me about how Trump is seizing ballots and trying to reverse the election.
There is absolutely no evidence this is happening (and it would be very surprising at this point, given that Trump himself said on Tuesday evening that he accepted the midterm outcomes).
Don’t make shit up about elections. And don’t repost extraordinary claims that aren’t backed by evidence.
@mattblaze "Secretly"... he was trying to disrupt them openly, with the threats, legal cases, disenfranchisement andvoter suppression pushes, massive redistricting efforts, last-minute changes to voting in several states, spreading conspiracy theories...
He's clearly incompetent enough that it backfired, but he's wasn't subtle about it...
@miss_rodent Despite that, no federal agents or military were sent to the polls en mass. No one seized ballots. No one arrested any election officials for letting people vote.
@mattblaze Yeah, it could have been much worse, and a lot of effort went into preventing it from being much worse.
This feels like a Y2K bug sort of situation? A lot of work went into preventing a potential catastrophy, but, because it worked, it's hard to see how much the prevention mattered.

@mattblaze OK, but there really were efforts to change the outcome of the election! They happened out in the open. I don't think many of them were effective, though.

@mattblaze I mean it does seem like some of the gerrymandering backfired, but that's not exactly secret and doesn't really do anything to the integrity of the election.

A lot of people think that Trump trying to do something with no legal basis is the same as it happening. This is why I really wish media outlets would cover his daily legal challenges and losses as prominently as they do his proclamations.

Not saying it's happening, but I definitely wouldn't be surprised if he tried something. If I was american I would be on my guard right now.

All I'm saying is that suspicion is healthy given this man's history.
The theory seems to be that Trump *secretly* disrupted the election, in a way that no one noticed and that resulted in a gigantic Democrat landslide.
Can't trust that guy to do anything.
