My wife and I met on Craigslist over 18 years ago. Back then it was scandalous to meet someone online, let alone Craigslist personal ads. We have always told our family that we met in a bar while we were out with friends. Years later we still keep the lie going.

Please let this be from the lost connection section of Craigslist. That would be dope. "You gave up your seat on the crowded train to the old man. I wanted to give you my number then but was too shy. Etc"
But really, there's no shame wherever the two found their ad on those web pages.
@fesshole I met my wife on Plenty Of Fish. We knew each other years before that (mid-90s), but things had Happened in the meantime. But both of us were in the right place at the right time to meet up again.
