So I pick up my daughter (27) from community college yesterday and turned down the radio a little because of her sensitivity to loud sound.
I was playing an MF DOOM playlist.
"You can play something different if you want to." I told her.
She looked at me with shock and anger. "Dad." she said sternly. "That's DOOM. Why in the hell would I choose a different song?!?"
"Oh, well you know, just wanted to be courteous." I explained.
"Are you trying to make me angry?" she said sarcastically.
"No no no. Wouldn't want that." I said laughing.
She turned it up.
This was one of the moments where I knew I had raised her right.

I feel the same way when my daughter starts singing along to 80s hair bands or referencing obscure Simpsons moments.
I'm like, yep the kid has good taste. 😂
