Don't you love the modern era where you don't have to care about formatting because everything is going to be reformatted anyway by a pre-commit hook?
Except when for some completely random reason the pre-commit hook on your machine gives completely different formatting than the one running in CI, so it mixes tons of unrelated formatting changes into your change, and then these changes are rejected by CI that wants to reformat them back, so you have to disable pre-commit hooks, start over and make sure to manually format everything in the way CI expects.
…and that's already after wasting 15 minutes on trying to get the formatter do the thing expected from it.
