USB-C sucks. The connectors are always flaky and unreliable. My earbuds, my phone, whatever: if I nudge it or the phase of the moon changes, the connection fails and the device stops charging. I like that we have one format but could we have one that works?

@evan seems better than lightning! I haven't had any issues with USB-C but with lightning it was constant.
@evan Can we please just go back to 3.5mm stereo jacks for audio? Zero broken connectors in 30+ years. I've broken at least 5 USB-C connectors in just the last 2 years.
@evan I find the issues I have with USB-C are almost always because stuff gets into the connector *behind* the angled contacts wedging it in place - making cleaning difficult and hard to tell if it's dirty - especially if it's a dark coloured cable.
Lightning on the otherhand had its locking pins in the socket and the nubs on the edge of the connector so it was pretty obvious if there was something in the socket preventing latching, and only has contacts on one socket side - easier to clean.
