When TAS was told to save money, the show runners took it to heart. Add a couple of little stars to a space shot. Remove a small widget from the bridge. Voila! New scene.
For me, TAS also stands for, "There's Always Squinting" as I try to suss out the minor differences with some scenes.
@Nmyownworld @darth_hideout @5ciFiGirl @startrekgifs Filmation was a notorious penny-pincher. They didn't want to pay Alexander Courage a royalty for the Star Trek theme so they had one composed work-for-hire.
@Nmyownworld @darth_hideout @5ciFiGirl @startrekgifs I'm not knocking the TAS theme. I liked it when I first saw the show in the 1970s.

I like the TAS theme music, too. It's like the TOS theme's cousin. Talented in its own right, but never made it as big as the TOS theme. The TAS theme still did well, though.

@startrekgifs More Tribbles, More Troubles
@Nmyownworld @startrekgifs actually I thought it was The Lorelei Signal!
@ansonkennedy @startrekgifs I fully admit that I was well beyond "reasonable guesses," and had moved to "just keep trying, one of the remaining titles is correct." 😬 😄
@Nmyownworld @startrekgifs with TAS guessing like that seems reasonable.
