@hacks4pancakes Have you looked at who owns all the media these days? It's going to take a while for this to filter through. We'll probably see some token efforts as a shock reaction but my guess is that it'll be a kind of sanitised/corporatised/wokewashed content.
The culture of the owners needs to change, and that's not something that happens overnight. IMO.
Can we have Star Trek back?

@RogerBW The recent Star Trek really got me psychologically through the last ten years. It met us in the social challenges of the times. Just like Star Trek always does.
We live in dark times.
@hacks4pancakes @RogerBW Strange New Worlds and Lower Decks, combined with Dropout, have been shows that help not go crazy through the dark times. I want more people in leadership positions that are like the leaders from those two Star Trek shows.

The explaination for why the Illarians do genetic modification deeply made sense. Its a mentality I wish that we as humanity would embrace again, adapting ourselves to co-exist with a planet, not destory it due to a conquering mentality of ownership.
@hacks4pancakes This isn't the usual procedure. Normally they do: win with progressive topics and then make conservative policy.
