Don't worry. Kalshi is expanding their protections for 18-20 year old players*
They have put a sensible $2500 (monthly) limit on accounts held by teens.
Wow.
*In much of the US you must be 21 to gamble, but Kalshi allows anyone over 18 to use their app.
When I saw this I thought it'd be a $2500 limit. Full stop. But no!
The fact they they can't just bounce kids from their app suggests kids are a revenue source for them. (kinder whales?) What an honorable upstanding business, providing access to the power of markets and futures to underserved people and communities. Give 'em a metal.
Maybe I'm an old lady but I like my gambling to be at the race track, on horses, it should cost $2 and then it's over for five years.

I used to go to the greyhound racing. Good fun at the time but now I'm not so certain. Probably some cruelty involved.
Dog racing has never been great for the dogs. Horse racing is a bit better but probably nothing of value will be lost if it continues to fade away.
I've known a few ex-racehorses kept as pets by horse loving people. The big issue is there are not nearly enough such homes.
@futurebird this is disgusting. I very much doubt more than a handful of people outside the gambling industry understand just how much money goes down the rabbit hole, and just how ruinous it is.
