Telling boys they have the original sin of being male and it makes them naturally bad and violent and they need to suppress themselves is not in fact a feminist approach to subverting patriarchy. FFS people.

I mean this in the kindest possible way but your trauma is not radical. Basing your praxis on your trauma is not building a better world. Radical spaces should acknowledge trauma and seek to tend to it, but using it as a basis for building the world we want is a doomed endeavour.
Really reminded of someone (I forget who, sorry) posting on here a while back about stories for children about women, gay couples, black people etc. that are well meaning but kinda start from the premise of 'you can't do anything unless the people before you did it.' Making a big deal out of Firsts and not focusing on the future where the child can do literally anything, even if no-one like them has done it. Like inadvertently setting up the oppressive structure first in order to try and knock it down (which is never a complete destruction) rather than just setting up a better future.
