@davidgerard while the timing is laughable, it is worth noting though that this existed in the schema and pds server code for a while now. all they needed to do was add it to the social-app ui (like many forks already have), and now they did

why not just call poeple by theit names.

Luna Lactea think IdeaPDish should just use pronouns like everyone else. Pronouns make things easier for IdeaPDish to communicate even when IdeaPDish don't notice.

The writing has been on the wall for months that this election was going to prove that 2024 wasn't a seismic lurch to the right on culture war bullshit but mostly people mad about economic recovery being slow. After Trump tanked the economy and started a war to drive up gas prices, a loss this cycle was inevitable (though the size of it is impressive)
Could have pivoted in June just as cynically but less obviously. But they didn't want to believe
