I would just like to point out, the US fascist party has been building their 'red wall' since around 2010 - this whole neonazi movement having been a decade straight of rage-pissing themselves about a black man being president - and then managed to break the wall in less than 2 years of this presidency.
So, really, don't stop now - last night set the fascist movement back a few years. But it was not a deathblow. Do not let the dems repeat Lincolns greatest failure.

We have tried - repeatedly - to welcome them back into the fold. After the civil war, after the civil rights movement, After the KKK, and jim crow.
It has always been a mistake. Every. Single. Fucking. Time.
Lincoln's failure here, referring to welcoming the confederates back, and letting bygones be bygones, after they did a treason and started a civil war to try to keep enslaving people. And letting them then undermine reconstruction, build the jim crow south, and keep their supremecist slaver ideology alive.
If the fascists aren't in a cell or a hole in the ground, then we are just setting up to have do the same fucking thing again. And the next figurehead may not be such a fucking idiot.
