Honest question, because I don’t understand:
With 2/3 of the votes counted, and with all three initiatives at a 50-something/40-something spread, why has the transphobic I-638 been “called” as a done deal when the other two have not? I-645 even has a wider spread; if they’re calling one at 56.6\43.4, why not call the other at 57.9/42.1?
Seems to me like they want us to give up on fighting for trans kids’ rights, while thinking that the millionaire’s tax question is still a big ol’ question mark. Now why would they do that, I wonder?
@djwudi The percentage of votes outstanding which have to be "no" at this point is almost certainly unachievable.
That could be wrong, calls have been reversed in the past, and it's not like they have any official standing.
But it would take a _monumental_ surge in No votes out of the three "no" counties. The _average_ no would have to be at like 60%, I think? And not even the "no" counties are hitting that yet.
