A couple of days ago I shared the project UniXNU https://unixnu.com/ where people are trying to run iOS and ipadOS on non-Apple hardware.
What I didn't know is that the Chinese are really excited with this project and there are porting to all their phones.

@hfaust one of the advantages of ios has always been vertical integration, they build their os for their exact hardware tolerances. that said this is a great project and will probably work for a lot of usecases

@sun Don't remind me of that, I did believe in Firefox OS back in the day.
@hfaust I sold my old fxos phone on ebay for a couple hundred dollars before I moved to japan. I loved that thing.
@sun I loved mine too, but I bricked it after I tried to flash the last b2g image. I got to admit that thanks to Firefox OS I learned tons about web development (I made my own launcher) and Linux kernel internals.
