Discussion
It is time once again to ask for your collective suggestions to the Fediverse databases I maintain:
1. Social Web Near Me
If you know a federated platform that serves a specific language, locale, institution, or topic AND it's accepting new accounts, you can read the inclusion criteria and send suggestions here: https://jaz.co.uk/projects/mastodon-near-me/#inclusion-criteria
(Please boost this one for visibility, more below)
... and StartHereSocial - a decision support app to help people find a new social web service provider by language, region, topic, or size
(This one includes ActivityPub and ATProto services)
@jaz Poked around, on both MNM and SHS, really nice collection.
In SHS on the shs-other-platforms page I ran into something weird though, a lot of what I suspect is NBSP (0xA0) is rendered as the string "0a0".
@phl aha nice catch, I thought I updated all those tables, thanks.
Fixed now (and yes, previously working nbsps that needed updating)
2. Organisations using ActivityPub
This is where I catalogue any companies, NGOs, governments etc that publish on their own domain (not "has an account on some server somewhere").
If you know any entity that has any kind of self-hosted social media presence on THEIR domain, please let me know so I can update this database:
Organisations Using ActivityPub
@Virginicus @hello I've got hcommons listed on StartHereSocial, but to add to the Organisations list I can't find a company or entity for Knowledge Commons, seems to be a project more than an entity?
3. I also keep track of large, general-purpose Fediverse services, for this you can just reply below or DM me your suggestions. Inclusion on this list is a bit arbitrary, but in general it should have been around a while, have over 1,000 active accounts, have clearly available/visible admin/moderation, and be open for registrations (instant or approval is fine.)

4. This is more of a personal ask. Apparently when I pushed the staging site with the new look and feel I lost a lot of blog comments :o(
If you've previously interacted with my posts, please consider clicking through and trying again, I hate to see all the blank profiles.
Each post has an "Interact" section after the main bit.
I'll post five or six below, as I think this might also re-federate them? I really don't know. Sorry not sorry for the next bit of blog spam.
The suggestions you send are used by two apps:
