@davidrevoy thank you for reminding me, that it is possible to keep fighting because it gets harder every day. Arguing against collegues, direct superiors in the company because the users are getting more and convincing friends who start using the LLMs is so hard. Thanks 🫶
Flute🤘wonderful choice btw.
@davidrevoy Very good one! Nice choices of framing (i.e. Cepper looking sideways) and of course, the message... ❤️

@davidrevoy @f4grx celui-ci ? (oui, c'est comme le Port-Salut ;)

@davidrevoy Send that spell my way! I could use those extra digits when I play recorder.
@davidrevoy Reminds me of this SF short story about a musician that had to get extra robotic fingers to play this flute like instrument used by aliens that had become super popular. At a recital she turned off the extra fingers and finished the piece anyway.
@davidrevoy ... for this is what 'voting' is about.
(0/28 data centre ballots passed)
@davidrevoy The flute has just enough keys to be kind of annoying for a 5-fingered player to learn but not enough for it to be more flowing like a piano or harp. Perfect choice of instrument here
@davidrevoy "But please, please use our AI"
Humans over AI ❤️
@davidrevoy any chance of that first pane as a wallpaper, without the speech bubble (and maybe without the bird?) because it's too pretty!
@M0YNG Thank you 💜 The maximum resolution I have is https://www.peppercarrot.com/0_sources/miniFantasyTheater/hi-res/gfx-only/077_miniFantasyTheater.jpg (without speechbubbles and almost no JPG compression).
Maybe you can try with a crop tool to isolate the first panel and see if it is enough for a wallpaper?
@davidrevoy thanks, at 16:9 a nice framing of Cepper loses a lot of the gorgeous setting behind, but it still works well, similar for phone/portrait.
Insufficient quality attached to show the point, I'm sure you/others can crop to suit yourselves without my help!

@M0YNG Hey, I took a big hour to paint around the picture to make it a better wide format.
🎁 It's here: https://www.peppercarrot.com/en/wallpapers/index.html
(edit: * a 16:10, feel free to crop a bit of the top or/and bottom to get a 16:9)
@davidrevoy I love your work but this is going into my library! Yes!!!
@davidrevoy It works. Less than 250 entries on a dataset of any size can poison a LLM.

@pretergeek ver interesting. Thank you for sharing!
@pretergeek I also found how Anthropic relayed this paper: https://www.anthropic.com/research/small-samples-poison
I love the end quote: "Sharing these findings publicly carries the risk of encouraging adversaries to try such attacks in practice."
Yes, very encouraging. Thank you 😆
I am a Software Developer and gave up, because of ai 🤷
Today I used an ai-agent to create some software projects I wanted to do for years, but never had (or will have) time to do it.
It was done in a few hours and everything worked 🥹
@utopify_org That's the equivalent of saying you always wanted to run a marathon, and today you had the illusion of accomplishing one because you took the bus to go to the finish line.
Well, if it's enough for your feeling of self-accomplishment... ¯\(ツ)/¯
That's the problem. It didn't give me any feeling of self-accomplishment.
It gave me a short dopamine hit, because seeing the software I always wanted, gave me a good feeling and all I had to do, was to describe it as good as possible.
But the dopamine hit was as short as the one people get from doomscrolling on social media.
And I am worried people who use ai-agents will end exactly like those people. They need more and more and more.
I don't know how to describe it, but I try: There is no humane part, no soul, no passion and no satisfation. I don't even wanted to understand what ai wrote there, how it solved things, etc. It's not interesting… the result was just the thing, what "kicked in". And just for a short time.
Your comparision with a marathon is good, but I think it fits better if the result can be seen directly, like art (what you are doing). In sofware development, most of the work can't be seen from outside, e.g. everything what is back-end (servers). You will never see the work of the most important software developers, which do security stuff, secure your data in the cloud, make it harder for hackers, etc. And not only this, there is even code on your device, you can't see, like Algorithms, which do stuff in the background. All you can see is front-end stuff. Designers, who put some buttons on your screen. That's all. Humans never appreciate what they can't see, but they can see art.
Art stays, software development will be taken over by ai.
My job as a software developer is history. No company pays me to be a software developer in a few years. They will only pay prompters, because they will be much much much cheaper than me and have a much higher output than me.
I try not to be a Luddite who fights against the looms. I am the weaver who is learning to use the looms.
It's a surviving strategy, not a love song to ai.
@utopify_org I totally understand, take care of yourself, I know the time are complex
I totally get that an industry is changing, and many work positions will be transformed to be "AI Shepherds". My reply was mostly a reminder for you to take care of your dreams, and sens of accomplishment, even on the little personal time budget aside the AI/Professional thing.
That's how you'll keep being a Software Developer.
@davidrevoy The real poison is the twelve-fingered playing techniques
@davidrevoy it's so hilarious you really keep on the hassle of painting an extra finger! As comic figures have often less fingers to make it easier you are even adding an extra finger and make it look great. Wow!
This is really art of the next level!
Thank you for all your phantastic work!
