It's nice waking up today knowing that my #trans siblings might feel safer now in places like Texas. It seems there is hope.
But this isn't over yet. We must all continue punching NAZIs. And as they fall to the ground, let's not miss the opportunity to step on their necks.

for full, unquestioned, obvious and solid #trans rights, on par with all other human rights as trans people deserve and have always deserved, we have a LOT more work to do
now we put the votes away and we pull out the knives for any #Democrat who wavers on the imperative
@benroyce @lisamelton we need to make clear to our Senators and Reps that equal rights for ALL (including trans) is non-negotiable. It really should be table stakes for Democrats. Full-throated support for equal rights should be required for any House Speaker or Senate Leader.

I’m reading another post just above the one I’m reading of yours which mentions that every anti-trans ballot measure past except one.
This is offset with new members elected that are openly trans and gay so I think there’s cognitive dissonance still going on in the public mind that needs to be sorted out
