Here’s the thing, with Nixon Republicans learned that if the President from their party is a crook, and gets removed, they would be crushed at the polls (they got crushed in 1974). With Trump, hopefully, they just learned that if the President from their party is a crook and doesn’t get removed, they will be crushed at the polls.

@stux Impeachment of Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth will likely begin as soon as the 119th Congress reconvenes. He will likely be convicted and removed by the Senate because Hegseth is hated, definitely earned.
Don't expect impeachment+removal of Trump right away when the 120th Congress is sworn in January 2027. There may need to be a reformation of the SCOTUS *first* to ensure that Trump can't escape investigation and prosecution for his criminal acts.

@stux We should offer for him to resign. He has 24 hours or we promise impeachment. Either way, he stands trial for his crimes.
