It's a new dawn, it's a new day, it's a new life.
And I'm feelin' good.
Good morning, America. Thank you.

I'm obviously thrilled about the national results. As much, I'm over the moon and excited to learn more about state and local elections.
Here in New Hampshire, while we kept our Republican governor in place, we flipped a Republican majority in our House and Senate, and went from a 4:1 Republican Executive Council to probably a 5:0 Democrat Executive Council.
This means that almost every ounce of political power in New Hampshire now resides in the hands of Democrats whose office I can go to.
@alisynthesis I feel so happy for you! This have to give hope things can move into a better future than feared.
@mosgaard thank you! I'm slightly proud of us at the moment. Not 100% proud, but not mortified and embarrassed, which is an unfamiliar feeling. :)
@alisynthesis this makes so much sense!
You should be proud!
Looking at my local paper, it looks like all of the little red towns scattered around my region went blue last night.
These are places where you still see quite a few Trump signs (though fewer and fewer in recent years). They're full of hunters and pretty old-school rural conservatives.
River running free, you know how I feel.
@alisynthesis No doubt these kinds of flips are mirrored at local levels all across the US right now
@mrowster I hope all these people are ready to work, because there is a LOT to do, at least in my neck of the woods.
NH has had a really rough time the last few years, as the target of a Libertarian takeover of our state. They have kinda merged with MAGA to create a coalition that is tearing our schools apart, decimating state revenue, etc.
(If you haven't heard of the Free State Project... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Free_State_Project)
@alisynthesis Yes no doubt the next two years are gonna be hard but hopefully meaningful work for everyone stateside. But it's wonderful news to wake up to, even here in Orkney where I live :)
@mrowster I can't tell you how thrilled I am not to be 100% embarrassed by my country right now. :)
Thanks for the support!
Beautiful Nina ear worm. Thanks.
All the best on the long turnaround and reset.
I'm also thrilled to delete my YouTube history.
@alisynthesis
I've had my YouTube history turned off for years.
@alisynthesis
Hmmm, Nina Simone!
