My husband woke me up an hour before my alarm to tell me of the blue tsunami across the US. Good news can be even more energizing than sleep!
I then spent every minute before my alarm on Instagram scrolling thru the news, victory speeches, and celebrations. No 15-minute screen time limit for me in this moment of history!

Not all Black people are Democrats. That's an unconscious bias that probably helped him win with voters of all races.
I am thankful for Bernie and Warren laying the groundwork for Democratic Socialism to not remain fringe in the US. They have always been the substantive sequel to Obama’s empty bi-partisan hope and Boomers backing Biden’s failed centrism. They made it possible for AOC and Mamdani to shine and now influence the party across the country.
