The deer (blurry, in the background) is not :’(
The car is drivable, hit at about 40-50kph as I was coming down a (notorious) hill but a number of cracks in the front bumper, the hood is skewed slightly, possibly slightly crumpled, and the headlights is mis-aligned.
Full size deer, so I’m honestly surprised there isn’t more damage.
*sigh* not what I wanted to happen today….in many ways.
I really really don’t like being responsible for the death of another being. 🥺
Also… this is obviously my main mode of transport to/from work and #doordash. And yes, I was dashing at the time (thankfully going to a new order, not delivering)

No idea if the car will be a write-off or not. Not sure how they determine it. It is driveable. But I guess it’ll be whether there is any damage to the charging port which I think took near the full brunt of the force or anything else under the hood. The hood itself opens and closes/latches.
It will definitely need a new front bumper at the very least, likely a new hood, maybe new headlight… we’ll see what else.
