Voter number 788 in my precinct. It is chilly, windy, dark, and raining. And the precinct is appropriately sized with short lines, but every table has a ballot getting filled out.
Wow, if my math is correct, Minnesota had 72% voter turnout yesterday. At midterm elections!
I got all but 2 of the people I wanted. We got Peggy Flanagan for our US Senator, and first Indigenous senator. We got Amy Klobuchar as our first female governor.
We got to keep Steve Simon as State Auditor and Keith Ellison as Attorney General.
In my purple city, we got DFL state senator and state rep - both guys I know. And 2 of the 3 school board candidates I wanted. (Heather & Vincent!)
