Hey Canadians! Since we are all thinking about time and timezones today… if you would like to do a bit of #DigitalSovereignty you can change your Network Time server on your computer or system away from the standard Apple, Google or other mega-corps to the official Canadian NTP server run by the National Research Council.

P.S. But don’t go to their web clock page, because it’s wrong! LOL “Some information on this page is no longer accurate as of November 1, 2026.”
@chris
This timezone change (Amgine Household By-Law 001 - Standard time is the standard time.) also had me setting up a network time server for the home systems. It is amazingly easy - you could run it on a pi zero.
I only have one of the devices checking time on the local time server so far, but the goal is to have only that one device going outside the network for time. Then I plan to add a GNSS one, so I can eliminate even *that* use of bandwidth.
