@killyourfm Like with everything else, I click on links, read here and there and the news usually arrive at the correct time.
@killyourfm on the projects sites themselves
@killyourfm
from custom RSS sources using Liferea, a foss RSS reader...

Before Mastodon/Fediverse I used to follow RSS feeds and read news sites.
These days, mostly Release Notes or watching projects and issues in Code Forges (e.g. Github) directly. Other than that, some podcasts for background.
@killyourfm I use it mainly RSS and mailing lists, then lemmy, reddit, hackernews, lobste.rs, phoronix, opennet, habr.
@killyourfm Another RSS user here.
I know the glory days are over but I'm old and already used to it.
So, yeah, I still go to Slashdot
@killyourfm mastodon quicker news but outside mastodon will be youtube for me
@killyourfm For me, it’s usually a blog/website post or Reddit.
@killyourfm I check on the orange site more or less daily but it's become dominated by AI news which I'm less than interested in. :-/
