Just received a more concerning report from Santa Fe County Fairgrounds. Before details about it, I want to emphasize that I’ve alerted the Santa Fe County Clerk who is headed there directly. There is no violence or imminent danger. Voting continues normally. 1/
My organization, #LandOfAction, has election watchers out across #NewMexico today. Starting at 7 am, I’ve been getting calls about what’s happening on the ground.
- in rural northern Santa Fe County, a voting location turned away its first voter because the machinery was broken and the poll workers were waiting for IT. Don’t know if the voter was offered an emergency paper ballot, per state law. Subsequent voters were admitted, not sure if machinery was fixed. 1/
A man was taking video of voters within 50 feet of the entrance to this voting location. He was told to stop. He entered the location, with his phone out, apparently still videoing. He shouted about knowing his Second Amendment rights.
Upon leaving, he continued to videotape outside the entrance. At some point, he claimed he was with the Greg Hull campaign. (Hull is the R gubernatorial candidate.) 2/
