@ai6yr Wow that’s crazy
I wonder if the Sentinel-1 or Sentinel-2 satellites caught these folks as they were drifting across the ocean. (it generally picks stuff up on the surface of the ocean pretty well). The only problem of course, is you can't tell what boat, etc. and requires resources in an area to check out possible hits to see if they are what you are looking for. And it's a really, really big ocean.
Recently read _A Marriage At Sea_ about a British couple whose boat capsized in the Pacific in 1972, and the 118 days they spent on a raft and dinghy before being seen/rescued. It was petty grim.
@FiddleSix Oooh, this must be the hot book of the moment... @rustoleumlove mentioned that at the same time.
apparently this book was:
A NEW YORK TIMES TOP 10 BOOK OF 2025
ALSO NAMED ONE OF BARACK OBAMA’S FAVORITE BOOKS OF 2025 AND A BEST BOOK OF THE YEAR BY NPR, VOGUE, TIME MAGAZINE, THE NEW YORKER, AND MORE
sorry for the CAPS, this is a copy past from amazos
@rustoleumlove @FiddleSix LOL I imagine (without reading the book or its description) it would more likely be NEED A DIVORCE AT SEA 😂
